Osprey Ridge Studio
The mission of Osprey Ridge Studio is to tell the stories of nature using sounds, video and multimedia presentations.
Hearbirds.com is a web site created and maintained by Rick Johnson of the Osprey Ridge Studio. The site features an online, interactive course titled, Introduction to Bird Songs and Sounds. The
goal of the course is to help people improve their ability to hear and observe birds in natural settings.
Rick recorded the audio segments from the western United States and created many of the images for illustrations.
The acknowledgement pages present information about others who contributed audio and image media for this course.
Donation Program
Osprey Ridge Studio donates 5% of revenues or 25% of profits -- whichever is larger each year -- to nonprofit environmental groups who work on habitat protection and education. The current donation pool is dedicated to support of local chapters of the National Audubon Society, and The Nature Conservancy.
